My Sophisticated Mature Woman with Her Coffee and Vibrator got a mention in Denver Art Review Inquiry and Anlysis (DARIA) in the Fiber Art Colorado show at Depot Gallery
I was excited to see the open call for art for this show, excited to be accepted and thrilled to have won 2nd prize. I'm a self taught artist, and I am fairly inexperienced when I comes to shows and what to expect. I didn't know, for example, that there were prizes at all, and had zero expectations that I would get one.
Six weeks later I got a message from Talia Johns (fellow fabric artist, and Depot Gallery member). There was an article in the Denver Art Review Inquiry and Anlysis (DARIA) about the show that mentioned my art. I was familiar with the magazine, having seen it in many galleries including the one I'm a memeber of EDGE at 40West. Maggie Sava wrote a review about the show for the magazine feature myself and other artist from the Fiber Art Colorado. I did what any sensible artists would do, post it to my socials.
